Decent Cleaning is committed to protecting the environment, conserving natural resources, preventing pollution and striving to be an exemplary company. We have accomplished this through an Environmental Management System that is comprised of policies and procedures that will ensure the reduction of our consumption of natural resources, energy and materials while minimising any adverse environmental impact from our operations, including waste reduction and recycling. We will ensure that we comply with applicable local, regional and government regulatory requirements. We will set targets and objectives and through our Environmental Management System will ensure targets and objectives are being met and that we continually strive to improve our environmental performance.

All our cleaning employees are trained in efficient, hygienic and environmentally sustainable cleaning practices. We ensure that they understand the hazards and care procedures associated with the specific chemicals that they use. Furthermore, any new information from internal research and development initiatives is effectively communicated to all employees.

Decent Cleaning operates an energy conservation policy to ensure that all non-critical equipment is switched off when not needed and low-energy electrical equipment will be preferred for purchase.

Our company ensure that our Trade Waste is disposed of in the correct method. All chemicals are stored safely, and labelled correctly and the correct dilution procedures are followed strictly. As well as no solid waste is left on the client’s premises and all solid waste is recycled where possible.

We will endeavour to perform business electronically, reduce paper usage and use recycled paper whenever necessary. Waste paper is collected and transported to the local Council’s recycling area and whenever possible we reuse incoming packaging materials. We will always seek to purchase products that are environmentally friendly, reusable, and recyclable and that do not damage the environment. Whenever possible we will reduce travelling by vehicles for training, meetings etc. and instead communicate using the video conference and webinar facilities.

Our company vehicles are economical and are serviced regularly to ensure the lowest possible emissions. Filters and other emission control devices are cleaned regularly on all emission-producing equipment (E.g. Vacuums)

We are currently working towards obtaining certification to ISO 140001 Environmental Management System.
